ACCELERATION

Some of the best young athletes in sport stand out because of their acceleration. The ability to burst into movement quickly — whether that’s getting to the ball first, reacting to a teammate, or pulling away from the competition — is one of the most valuable skills your child can develop. We help children aged 5–16 build this explosive first step in a fun, safe, and structured environment.

TOP SPEED

Every child can get faster — it’s not just something you’re born with. As your child develops their top speed, they’ll find sport easier, more enjoyable, and less tiring. Whether they play football, rugby, tennis, or athletics, being able to move quickly and efficiently gives them the confidence to perform at their best when it matters most.

BRAKING STRENGTH

Knowing how to slow down safely is just as important as knowing how to speed up — but it’s one of the most overlooked skills in youth sport. Proper deceleration helps children change direction, stop, and react without putting unnecessary strain on their joints and muscles. We teach young athletes the right technique from an early age, reducing the risk of injury and building movement habits that will serve them for life.

CHANGE OF DIRECTION

Most sport doesn’t happen in a straight line. The ability to shift, turn, and react quickly is what separates a good young athlete from a great one. Whether it’s cutting past an opponent, covering ground on a court, or tracking a moving ball, sharp and efficient changes of direction give your child a real edge. We develop this skill gradually and safely, so it becomes second nature — whatever sport they play.

About speed for sport Academy

I’m Tim, an ex-Team Great Britain and Ghana Sprinter with over 20 years’ experience competing at the highest level in my sport.

I’ve competed at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships indoors and out and the European Championships.

Sprinting has been a part of my life for more than two decades. With all this experience, I reached a point where I want to pass my knowledge on to the next generation of future sports stars.

Our qualified professionals will deliver all the key fundamentals on how to run in the correct way, therefore enabling you to perform to their highest level.
